I could use company and a few drinks.
I need a new book in my life.

और स्तब्ध खड़ी हूँ मैं;

निः शब्द खड़ी हूँ मैं;

बस ध्वस्त खड़ी हूँ मैं;

विश्वस्त खड़ी हूँ मैं;

निर्जर-सी छरी हूँ मैं;

स्वप्निल-सी परी हूँ मैं;

बस ख़ुद से डरी हूँ मैं;

थम-थम के चली हूँ मैं;

Sonia meri jaan..

Its written by Swanand Kirkire. It was used in Laaga Chunari Main Daag, music by Shantanu Moitra. Look it up on youtube, its beautiful. I just coudnt stop staring at each word, I felt like it that night. Defeated.

to this, I'm tempted to quote (and i'm usually more original, really) the concluding remarks from a shot I've loved, that i thought rather apt :

"You think I know the first thing about how hard your life has been, how you feel, who you are, because I read Oliver Twist? Does that encapsulate you? Personally... I don't give a shit about all that, because you know what, I can't learn anything from you, I can't read in some fuckin' book. Unless you want to talk about you, who you are. Then I'm fascinated. I'm in. But you don't want to do that do you sport? You're terrified of what you might say ... Your move, chief."

ah, and raise a glass to that.

@ Karn

Out of extreme curiosity, where are these lines from?

And yes, they're very apt.
